Making me happy at the moment:
1. Piles of snow allowing for an early release Friday from work, a reason to stay in all weekend and the seasonal reason I couldn't live anywhere but the North East.
2. Piles of pressies - all wrapped and waiting to be opened.
3. A boy who cleaned the driveway in a Santa hat on Friday "because we live on a busy street and people who drive by could use a laugh today."
4. Ornaments from the ornament swap. You gals rock!
5. Family coming in from Boston right after the holiday to help us stay merry and eat leftovers.
6. Growing ribbon of holiday greetings from friends. Shorter this year - but we lost a week of Christmas preparations and I haven't even sent mine out yet!
7. Traditional yuletide from childhood now living in my own home.
8. Holiday color pallets and random bowls of candy with hand-pulled peppermint.
9. More time off to laze around with the people who remind me where I come from and where I'm going.
10. Signs of new life even in the beginning of winter - a remembrance that spring will, indeed, come again.
