I love glass jars

we all know that. And we all know that the canning movement is more popular than ever. Combine those two things and you get Food in Jars - the neatest blog yet.

I can't say enough about Marisa's blog. The topic is (clearly) captivating, her photography is great, and her writing style is that balance of witty, genuine, and "I got my shit together, so this recipe is gonna work" which is perfect. I'm also excited at the idea of her book as well - which is now on my "to buy" list.

And I've had this idea of a homemade food swap group since the Christmas food-making spree of 2011. Turns out it's an actual thing, with actual people who have actually started them. Marisa is one and has a lovely post about it with great resources. Who wants to join me in Rochester's first food swap? (I don't actually know if it would be the first, someone is already probably doing this. But you get the idea.)
